Overview

Nexsicon is a trans-realm convergence world believed to exist at the intersection of multiple dimensional pathways. Often described as a "living junction," Nexsicon serves as both a natural crossroads for inter-realm travel and a metaphysical stabilizer for merging realities.

Unlike most realms, which develop in relative isolation, Nexsicon's existence is defined by connection, assimilation, and resonance exchange between external worlds. It is the birthplace of the elemental-mystic system known as Cymora, and historically served as the primary center for advanced multiversal theoretical research — including the now-forbidden study of Lodesouls.

Nexsicon is widely regarded as one of the most culturally and magically diverse realms in recorded cosmology, and is uniquely resilient to convergence strain — capable of surviving events that would typically destabilize lesser realms.

Cosmological Role

Nexsicon functions at the intersection of multiversal forces, making it the most cosmologically significant realm in active play.

  • A dimensional nexus where realm-boundary permeability is naturally elevated
  • A research epicenter for convergence theory and multiversal resonance
  • The origin point of the Cymoran elemental synthesis system
  • A realm historically linked to the accidental merging of non-magical and mythic domains
  • The current destination and holding ground for the displaced Lovely Hearts and Starlit Alpha

Magic System: Cymora

Cymora is Nexsicon's dominant magical discipline, built upon elemental resonance and harmonic synthesis. Unlike traditional elemental systems that treat elements as isolated forces, Cymora treats them as interdependent frequencies capable of recombination and modulation.

Cymoran magic emphasizes composition, not control. Practitioners do not command elements directly — instead, they synchronize with elemental frequency patterns, construct harmonic spell matrices, and maintain resonance stability throughout casting.

Base Elements

Tânor
Fire — Transformation, intensity, ignition

Earth — Stability, endurance, structure

Combined Elemental Disciplines

Cymora allows controlled harmonic blending of elemental frequencies into higher-order disciplines:

NameDisciplineCompositionCymoran Philosophy
GwynahrIceGwynt + NahrStillness through motion containment
TânahrPoisonTânor + NahrCorruption through transformative saturation
TângwyntLightningTânor + GwyntSudden catalytic expression
TândârMetalTânor + DârStrength forged through pressure and heat
NahdârPlantNahr + DârLife cultivated through nourishment and structure

Cymoran Casting Theory

Advanced Cymora requires exceptional cognitive multitasking and emotional regulation. Elemental over-saturation can destabilize the caster's resonance identity, and mixed-element spells risk harmonic backlash if improperly synchronized. Cymora is also heavily dependent on environmental resonance density.

Lodesoul Research & the Nexsican Crisis

Nexsicon is infamous for pioneering the theoretical and experimental study of Lodesouls — individuals whose existence anchors or redirects universal continuity. A Nexsican scientist successfully demonstrated three controversial principles:

  • Removing a Lodesoul does not immediately destroy its home realm.
  • Transferring a Lodesoul causes realm gravitational convergence.
  • Destroyed Lodesouls reincarnate or reassign to new hosts.

These findings were validated when the scientist's daughter unintentionally summoned a Lodesoul from a non-magical realm, triggering a permanent realm merger. In the aftermath, multiple mythic lost civilizations manifested physically within Nexsicon, global authorities outlawed further Lodesoul research, and the lead scientist disappeared shortly after surrendering his work.

Mythic Civilizations

Following the forced realm merger triggered by Lodesoul research, the following previously legendary territories manifested physically within Nexsicon's geography, permanently altering its magical topology:

  • Atlantis
  • Lemuria
  • Mu
  • Agartha
  • Avalon
  • Shangri-La
  • El Dorado

Connected Factions

Praxis Verax Affinas

Praxis Verax Affinas is an advanced research and intervention organization whose theoretical frameworks originated from forbidden Nexsican multiversal science. PVA operated in Nexsicon as the primary convergence research body before its collapse.

Destiny's Penance

Destiny's Penance, led by Tiala Hartlight, continues convergence research under moral and philosophical conflict with Nexsicon's original cautionary principles. Their pursuit of the Akashic Record and Ultimatera formation is centered in Nexsicon.

Reason Theory

Reason Theory, founded by Ami Hartbreak and Windi Lightfall, operates in direct opposition to deterministic convergence doctrine, using Nexsicon as the battleground for their destabilization campaign against Destiny's Penance.

Major Historical Events

The First Lodesoul Summoning

The first confirmed inter-realm anchor transfer, triggered by a scientist's daughter. Caused Nexsicon's first documented forced realm merger and permanently altered the realm's geographic and magical topology.

The Lodesoul Research Ban

International Nexsican governance declared Lodesoul experimentation illegal following the crisis. Enforcement resulted in the dissolution of multiple research institutions and the disappearance of the principal architect of Lodesoul theory.

Kidnapping of Mahana — Avant-Garde Composition

dissonant discord abducted Mahana Sahi and opened a dimensional rift into Nexsicon. The Lovely Hearts pursued rescue and became trapped in the realm. Kali Dana attacked discord, who cast her into a gravity well — causing temporal displacement. (See Avant-Garde Composition)

Revelation of True Identities

Within Nexsicon, Tiala Corsolis was revealed as both dissonant discord and BLADE GUILLOTINE — the singular force responsible for Beeston's sealing and Royastella's fall.

Praxis Verax Affinas Exposed & Collapsed

The structure and goals of Praxis Verax Affinas became public. Internal ideological tensions escalated into organizational disintegration.

The Grand Magic Catastrophe

Tiala, recognizing that integrating Beeston and Royastella would take approximately ten years, initiated a forced universal convergence spell to hasten the merge. The spell partially succeeded but destabilized reality on a catastrophic scale. (See Cascade Resonance)

Cascade Resonance Event

The catastrophic fallout of the Grand Magic Catastrophe:

  • Narrative probability collapse
  • Cross-realm entity displacement
  • Causal continuity fractures
  • Accelerated metaphysical entropy
  • Spontaneous mythic manifestation

Tiānshàng Massacre

A major emotional and narrative destabilization event triggered by Cascade Resonance fallout. Fú cì Tiānshàng lost the ability to become Zhòu-chún Shìfàng, and Xīwàng Tiānshàng disappeared.

The Great Schism

Following PVA's collapse, Ami left the organization. The remaining ideological forces split into two factions: Destiny's Penance under Tiala, pursuing the Akashic Record and accepting moral sacrifice; and Reason Theory under Ami and Windi, opposing deterministic convergence entirely.

Kali's Return — The Rise of Odisse Nocere

Kali Dana returned from the gravity well having aged an extra year. She assumed the identity of Odisse Nocere and aligned with Reason Theory after Ami revealed that dissonant discord was in fact Tiala Hartlight.

Rescue and Adoption of Fú cì Tiānshàng

Windi Lightfall phasewalked into an alley and eliminated a group of assassins targeting Fú cì, then informally adopted her. The encounter triggered the activation of the Tiānshàng ocular legacy and the emergence of Fú cì's fractured Zhòu-chún transformation.

Realm Integration Phase

Beeston and Royastella began convergence into Nexsicon. Estimated integration timeline: two years, setting the stage for the two-year time skip and the emergence of Ultimatera.

Cultural Identity

Nexsicon culture is defined by intellectual curiosity, philosophical pluralism, and pragmatic acceptance of multiversal coexistence. Citizens often view identity as fluid and evolution as inevitable.

Cross-cultural assimilation is common, resulting in hybrid traditions, languages, and magical practices. Nexsicon's academic institutions maintain significant influence across multiple realms, despite strict oversight on convergence experimentation following the Lodesoul ban.

Name Etymology

The name Nexsicon derives from the words "Nexus" and "Connection," reflecting its role as the multiversal intersection point of the Crios cosmology.
