The Tiānshàng Legacy is a hereditary yet non-automatic honor system practiced by the Tiānshàng Clan. Unlike traditional bloodline inheritance structures, the Tiānshàng name is considered a title of existential merit rather than a familial guarantee.
Children born into Tiānshàng lineage are intentionally denied the clan surname at birth. Instead, they are assigned provisional surnames chosen based on the circumstances, omens, or philosophical interpretations surrounding their arrival into the world. Only after proving themselves as individuals of exceptional value to the clan, to reality, or to continuity itself are they granted the Tiānshàng name.
The moment of ascension manifests physically through a supernatural ocular phenomenon known as the Six-Star Installation.
